Job Description:

We are seeking experienced Mechanical Insulators to join our union. As a Mechanical Insulator, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing insulation on various mechanical systems to ensure energy efficiency, safety, and system performance.

Responsibilities:

Install Insulation: Apply insulation materials to pipes, ducts, tanks, boilers, and other mechanical systems according to specifications and safety standards.

Measurement and Cutting: Accurately measure, cut, and shape insulation to fit around specific shapes and sizes.

Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE, and adhere to industry regulations and company policies.

Apply Sealing Materials: Apply vapor barriers, jacketing, and other sealing products to ensure insulation effectiveness.

Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with other tradespeople to complete installations efficiently.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum [3years] of experience as a Mechanical Insulator or have a journeyman card

Knowledge: Proficiency in working with various insulation materials, including fiberglass, foam, and rubber.

Physical Fitness:

Must be able to lift 50lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

Attention to Detail:

Ability to work precisely and maintain high-quality standards.

Team Player: Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and other trades.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in applying jacketing, protective coatings, or vapor barriers.

Previous work in an industrial or commercial environment.
