Rady Concrete Construction, a leader in the Fairbanks area, is seeking a qualified and experienced Boom Pump Operator to join our growing team. You'll play a vital role in our projects as well as the projects of many other contractors in Interior Alaska, ensuring concrete placement is accurate, efficient, and safe.
Responsibilities:
Safety is paramount.
Safely operate and maintain a truck-mounted boom pump or line pump.
Set up and breakdown pump equipment, including hoses, pipes, and outriggers.
Communicate effectively with crew, mixer drivers and concrete finishers.
Perform routine pump maintenance, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
Contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
A willingness to run line pumps or other equipment as needed.
Willingness to become ACPA certified, if not already.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Concrete Boom Pump Operator.
Valid Class A or B CDL with a clean driving record.
Valid DOT medical card.
Strong understanding of boom and line pump operations and safety procedures.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
Must have knowledge of concrete pumps and some mechanics involved to keep the pumps in good running order.
Must have the ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical problems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to safety and quality.
Excellent customer service skills.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift, up to 75 pounds to overhead position.
Must be able to push and pull up to 50 pounds.
Must tolerate working environment with outside temperatures that include excessive heat, cold and precipitation.
