Vicinity is seeking a Field Service Representative to join our team in Fairbanks, Alaska. This position is part-time up to 29 hours per week. We encourage students to apply, as are happy to work with you on a flexible schedule while classes are in session.
This is an entry level position, which provides professional experience with a technology service provider (TSP) and business consulting organization.
Preferred Qualifications
1 year in customer service or retail position preferred.
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Current drivers license and clean driving record.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Excellent time management skills.
What we expect from you
Meet with clients at their place of business and assist them with receiving technical support.
Actively listen to clients, understand their needs and document those requests in a service ticket.
Proactively schedule appointments with clients.
Act as a professional representative of our organization when working with our clients, prospective clients, fellow staff and the public.
What you expect from us
Regular, part-time position
Between $18 and $22 per hour, depending on experience
Professional development and training on IT certifications including CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+
Opportunity to advance to Field Service Technician based on attainment of relevant technical certifications and experience
