Security Officer: ENI (North Slope, AK)

JOB SUMMARY

Under supervision of the Security Captain and/or Security Sergeant, the remote Security Officer position performs security services and other infrastructure support functions specific to the ENI work site and based on the contract requirements. This includes providing security and protection of work site(s), personnel and assets; enforcing safety measures, operating a vehicle for patrol purposes, inspection and/or incident response services. Incumbents in this position are required to be firearms licensed, trained and qualified. This is a rotational position on the North Slope and the anticipated start date is June 2021.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Minimum of 21 years of age

- High School diploma or GED

- Valid driver’s license

- Prior work experience in private security, military service, law enforcement, corrections or a related field

- Knowledge of security operations and procedures including use of personal protective equipment

- Ability to present self in a highly professional, positive and courteous manner

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Maturity of judgement and behavior

- State of Alaska armed security officer license (or ability to obtain)

- Emergency Trauma Technician certification (or ability to obtain)

- Must be able to pass the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen, criminal background investigation and post-offer physical/fitness for duty evaluation

PREFERRED QUALIFICTIONS

- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger and air brake endorsements (or ability to obtain)

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

The employee will be required to live and work in a remote and confined workspace for extended periods of time and exposure to work assignments consisting of twelve-hour days and able to work day or night shifts as required. The majority of the work is performed in a remote setting with a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities and abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee’s work requires routine walking, standing, bending and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds. There may be a lack of immediate access to critical medical services as well as urban community services. Applicant will be required to successfully complete a post-offer pre-hire physical and Functional Capacity Exam (also known as a fitness for duty test).
