Minimum Qualifications
Must be high school graduate or equivalent
Must have a valid Alaska driver’s license.
Must have a clean driving record without any accidents or moving violations within the last three years prior to employment.
Must have a clean background check.
Obtain a Food Workers Card.
Must relate to seniors well, have a positive attitude, & be sensitive to their emotional & physical needs.
Have good working knowledge of the city streets and/or the ability to read a map.
Must maintain confidentiality.
Perform duties under COVID19 safety practices
Summary of Job Duties
Work under the supervision of the Driver Supervisor.
Willing to drive as program needs require, performing other duties assigned.
Keep an accurate log of delivered meals
Responsible for keeping the vehicle clean inside and out. Maintain food safety requirements.
Report all vehicle accidents and problems to the Executive Director immediately.
Write delivery time on meals when delivered.
Confirm that temp of meals are at 140 degrees when starting a route
Do wellness checks when there is a problem with a senior.
Running errands as needed.
Bringing back receipts.
Breaking down cardboard and taking it to the shelter.
Vehicle Maintenance
Positive Interaction with seniors on a daily basis.
