Position Summary:The University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF), an established leader in Alaska Native and Indigenous studies, research and teaching, seeks an experienced fundraiser who thrives in an exciting, fast-paced environment.The chief strategic relationship manager will cultivate benefactors and secure major gifts, collaborate with supportive and goal-oriented teams, and help create a unique, impactful and lasting positive change on the UAF campus for generations to come. The Troth Yeddha' Indigenous Studies Center is a one-of-a-kind opportunity that will honor Alaska's first peoples, provide new opportunities for cross-discipline and collaborative learning, and offer unparalleled teaching and research opportunities for the benefit of UAF students.To Thrive in this role, we are looking for applicants with the following experience and expertise:

Experience working with donors and cultivating relationships.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write compelling proposals and reports.

Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Experience with donor databases and gift processing.

Knowledge of Alaska Native cultures and communities served by UAF.

Ability to collaborate with diverse students, faculty, and staff across the university.

Experience or familiarity with Alaska Native and/or Indigenous programming.

Knowledge of and experience working with Alaska Native students, Indigenous organizations, private and public external constituencies, and government agencies.

Certified Fund Raising Executive

Advanced knowledge of Alaska Native and Indigenous peoples.

Direct experience working with Alaska Native and/or Indigenous groups, communities and/or organizations.

Willingness to travel including to/from rural Alaska.

Proven experience working collaboratively and effectively with a diverse and multicultural student body, staff and faculty.

Minimum Qualifications:

Masters degree in a related field, such as nonprofit management, business administration, or communications or an equivalent combination of training and experience.At least five years of experience in fundraising, with a track record of success in developing and implementing capital campaigns.A valid driver's license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria is required.Position Details: This position is located on the UAF campus in Fairbanks, and flexible on-site/hybrid work arrangements may be considered in accordance with UA regulations. This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package (https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/support/prospectiveemployees.php) . UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage.
