Essential Functions
The Independent Living Youth Employment Manager (Pre-ETS) is responsible to ensure:
Sustainability and further development of the Pre-ETS Program
Continued program coordination
Maintain existing partnerships.
Develop new partnerships and services.
Respond to changes in funding and community needs.
Develop a team comprised of full-time, part-time, temporary and volunteer Staff.
Core Responsibilities
Coordination of all Pre-ETS. Programming:
In-School, Summer Work Program, Menu of Service options, future programs
Curriculum and Facilitation
Management of existing curriculum
Tailoring lessons and needed experience to each group of students.
Weekly in school Pre-ETS determined by stakeholders.
Development of individualized programs based on a Menu of Services.
DVR or other work-based learning opportunities, job coaching to include hands on modeling, student
evaluations, and educational lessons.
Coordination of structured Summer Work Program with 12+ community partners
Networking, outreach, referral, and partnership building
Coordination and development proposals
Public comment at local government, coalitions, school district, fellow professionals
Communication with referral partners to ensure program access to eligible and interested youth.
Recruitment, hiring, and training
To include student participants, AmeriCorps VISTA summer mentors/support associates
Summer Work Program student employees
Training staff regarding mission, coordination, and facilitation
Administrative
Packets completion for students and Guardians.
Ensuring all necessary documents are correct, complete, updated and filed.
Completes, oversees, and delegates all administrative paperwork process as appropriate.
Finance
Submission of proposals, invoices, reports, student payroll and timesheets.
Reporting transition guide summaries, evaluations, My career plan submissions.
Create budget for summer work program and other expenses.
Responded to Grant and Funding Changes.
Management:
ILA Pre-ETS Staff full-time, part-time temporary and volunteer.
Be knowledgeable of Access Alaska Inc’s Policy, Procedures and Daily Operations.
Be knowledgeable of DVR, DOL, State & Federal Guidelines and Regulations.
Development and Coordination of existing and new services strategies and delivery methods.
Collaborates with the Pre-ETS. staff to develop curriculum and effectively prepare volunteers and temporary
summer staff to implement the curriculum with the appropriate entities.
Fairbanks Office Duties other than Pre-ETS.

Education and Training Requirements
4-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Human Services social work child development psychology social sciences etc.
Experience
3-years or more
Program Development/Coordination

Preferred
A strong understanding of Independent Living Advocacy Philosophy, Mission, Vision, and Values.
Some experience in entry level jobs such as;
Service Industry
Retail
Reception
Janitorial Etc.

Hourly Rate: $20.48 to $24.84
Full Time Exempt
