Seeking Experienced Bookkeeper Accountant

Middle Fork Logistics is a growing, family-owned trucking company looking for an experienced full-time Bookkeeper familiar with all phases of small business accounting and general office procedures. Knowledge of the trucking industry an advantage but not necessary. This position offers regular business hours M-F, with occasional overtime and weekend availability a plus. Pay commensurate with experience.

PAY RATE:

$35 - $45 per hour (DOE)

SKILLS:

Strong Excel, Adobe, and Microsoft Office skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong time-management and organizational skills.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Good internet navigation and online bill-pay and banking skills.

The ability to work alone or within a group, take direction and execute timely productivity.

Positive relationship building skills, people friendly

Promptness, reliability, and confidentiality.

Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.

Ability to exercise sound judgment and make value-based decisions.

Knowledge of standard business practice and common office equipment.

Some tax experience a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Weekly Payroll and Sub-contractor billing.

Payroll Liabilities, 941 Deposits and other employee Liabilities.

Quarterlies, Audits, pre-tax prep, various other State and Federal filings.

Year-end processing, W-2, 1099s, FUTA and other annuals.

All AP and AR functions, invoicing, statements, bill paying, and payment processing.

General Ledger maintenance, management, and review.

Financial data, reconciliations, credit card tracking and expense entry.

Interdepartmental expenditure collection, paperwork sorting, entry, filing and archiving.

Phone contact with Vendors and Customers, file set-up, maintenance, and review.

Interaction with employees and subcontractors concerning payroll procedures.

Paper and digital file organization, maintain Payroll records and Personnel files.

Performs other related duties as needed or assigned.

EDUCATION:

Minimum 2 years Higher Education, Internship, or proven training in Finance, with a minimum of 3 years’ work experience in the Accounting or Bookkeeping arena. References required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
