Operations ManagerDelta Junction, AK, USA Req #330Monday, December 2, 2024ASRC Federal Professional Services is seeking an Operations Manager for the Fort Greely Missile Defense Complex (MDC) Facility Operations and Support contract located in Delta Junction, Alaska. The Operations Manager reports directly to the Program Manager (PM). Performs the duties and responsibilities of the PM in the PM's absence.
Supports and assists the PM in directing the workforce and ensuring that work performed under the SOW meets all requirements and responsibilities.
Primary assistant to the PM for all contract activities and performance, holds the requisite authority to make and implement decisions regarding contract performance and changes to the contract.
Supports the Establishment and sustainment of ongoing performance-based organization that applies best practices and continuous process improvement to achieve highest levels of service and significant cost savings.
Ensures the customer’s facility is operated and maintained cost effectively, efficiently, and in a first-class condition.
Directs and monitors the performance of ASRC Federal Cyber staff and their departments, resolves problems and/or conflicts and maintains open communication with staff, the customer, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Ensures all documentation and deliverables are accurate, complete, and delivered on-time, develops/presents formal presentations for various contract and corporate business requirements.
Tracks, analyzes, and trends project costs/oversees the planning, budgeting, and financial process.
Ensures compliance with training and certification requirements
One (1) Full time dedicated position.
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Base Civil Engineer (CE) or Deputy Base CE on a DoD installation, or the equivalent position with another Federal agency (DoD experience is preferable)
Or
A minimum of five years’ experience as a contracted Operations Manager or Deputy PM at a U.S. military installation for a base maintenance contract or base operating services contract.
Or
At least Five (5) years’ experience as an operations Manager managing large, complex, service type, performance-based government contracts with multi-disciplinary staff (50 person or more) multiple functional areas including:
Program management, business operations, human resources, procurement subcontracts, contracts, operations, labor negotiations, civil engineering, and logistics support with a value of over $10M per year.
Or
10 years’ experience with large-scale DoD organizations and the functions and operations of Wing/base activities (i.e., Maintenance, Civil Engineering, Logistic, Operations, etc.).
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture,physical science, or construction management from a program certified by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) or from a program certified by the National Architecture Accrediting Board or Master or higher degree from an accredited university in business administration/management, or a closely related field
Current Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
