Willow Equipment Rental is seeking an experienced Mechanic / Equipment Operator to join our team. We are a small, family owned & operated company and our employees wear more than one hat most of the time! This position will cover mechanical work on both small and heavy equipment as well as equipment deliveries/pickups for our rental customers.
Responsibilities – Mechanical
- Perform routine & preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on equipment in our rental fleet. This will include all heavy equipment, general construction tools and lawn & garden equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical & hydraulic issues, repair & replace parts as needed
- Perform DOT annuals/inspections on vehicles & trailers, conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and safety hazards on all equipment
- Must have good maintenance & record keeping practices
- Ability to troubleshoot & perform minor repairs on rental equipment at customer location
- 3-5 years of mechanical experience is preferred
Responsibilities – Equipment Operator/Delivery
- Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record required
- Transport equipment to and from customer location. Ability to drive safely in tight settings is required
- Good customer service skills, duties will include review & operation of the equipment with the customer upon equipment drop-off
Summer and fall are our busiest seasons, applicant must have flexibility and ability to work independently & prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail is a MUST in all aspects of the job
Must be dependable, have a good work ethic and a good attitude!
This is a full to part time position and Saturday work is required
