As a Shop Fabrication Worker at JR Heritage, you will be a vital contributor to our production team, responsible for crafting, assembling, and fabricating cabinetry and millwork pieces. Your role will involve working with precision, utilizing woodworking tools and techniques to create high-quality products according to design specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cabinet and Millwork Fabrication: Execute the fabrication and assembly of cabinetry and millwork products following design plans and specifications, ensuring accuracy and precision in measurements and cuts.
2. Material Preparation: Prepare materials such as wood, laminates, hardware, and other components for fabrication, including cutting, shaping, and finishing as required for the project.
3. Machine Operation: Operate woodworking machinery and tools such as saws, drills, routers, sanders, and other equipment necessary for fabrication tasks, while adhering to safety guidelines.
4. Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on fabricated components to ensure they meet the required standards for accuracy, finish, and functionality before advancing to the assembly stage.
5. Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with other team members, including designers, craftsmen, and installers, to ensure seamless coordination in the fabrication process.
Requirements:
Proven experience in cabinetry or millwork fabrication within a workshop setting, demonstrating proficiency in woodworking techniques and machinery operation.
Ability to interpret and work from design plans, blueprints, or technical drawings accurately.
Proficient in using various woodworking tools and equipment, maintaining a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Knowledge of different wood types, laminates, and hardware used in cabinetry and millwork fabrication.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively to meet production deadlines.
Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and following safety protocols.
Additional Skills (Preferred but not required):
Experience with custom fabrication or specialized woodworking techniques.
Familiarity with CNC machinery and its application in cabinetry and millwork fabrication.
