Independent CONTRACTOR for CVTC’s Archaeology Projects 2024

This project contractor will perform various aspects of Cultural Resource Management, CVTC’s 2024 community-participatory archaeological surveys and excavations at various sites of importance. CVTC requests proposals from qualified consultants in order to conduct cultural resource surveys, archaeological permits, and report writing to support several projects within CVTC’s traditional territory.

Scope of work for this contract will include the following:

Various property archaeological pedestrian survey and inventory in the vicinity of the Talkeetna Mountains will be conducted by contract personnel.

In addition to pre project permit applications there are approximately six weeks of contract work in various locations within south central Alaska, accessible by road and other properties would require remote work in the back country.

Contract personnel may be required to interface with CVTC personnel or the public during excavation and recording of sites. The completion of timely archeological project reports will be completed within the contract requirements.

Successful bidder must provide a copy of their business license, bonding and/or insurance prior to signing the contract. A certificate of insurance with “Chickaloon Native Village” named as an additional insured is required. A Chickaloon Village Business License is required for contracts over $5,000.00.
