We have immediate openings for equipment operator positions. Excellent pay and benefits package available upon meeting eligibility requirements.

MUST HAVE VALID DRIVERS LICENSE No DUI/OUI’s in 3 years.

The heavy equipment operator is responsible for skilled work in the performance of all tasks related to the operation of heavy equipment related to site work and grading operations on commercial buildings, installation of water, storm and sewer mainline pipe, services and by-pass systems, loading equipment and trucks. These tasks require physical labor and, at a minimum, a working knowledge of the following: line and grade, trench safety, equipment maintenance/operations, laying ductile pipe, CPEP, CMP, PVC, HDPE, plan review and implementation, laser guidance equipment, work around vehicular and pedestrian traffic, trench excavations utilizing trench stabilizing equipment, and dewatering activities. Must be familiar with MOA MASS and OSHA safe practices. Minimum 3 years experience as lead equipment operator required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Read and interpret plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activities.

Trench safety requirements.

Develop work plans on day to day basis.

Safe operation of excavators, dozers, rollers, loaders, graders, etc.

Equipment maintenance.

Client relations.

Ensure all work requirements are consistent with contract requirements and most recent version of MASS.

Lift and carry objects and materials of various weights up to 100 pounds.

Repetitive climbing, stooping, kneeling, bending, and reaching over head.

Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications.

Other duties as assigned.

Valid Alaska drivers license. Must be physically capable of heavy manual labor, sometimes under unfavorable to extreme weather conditions. Lifting required on a daily basis. Must pass pre-employment drug test and physical if required. EOE.
