Groundskeeper supervisor leads a team responsible for maintaining grounds, including landscaping, snow removal, irrigation, and equipment maintenance, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment. This is a year-round position 40 hours a week plus overtime. Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation. Ability to operate skid steer and haul a trailer. This position is a working supervisor position, must be willing and able to work with the crews and get your hands dirty. The supervisor will set the pace for the crews and be able to instruct staff on various aspects of the job. Ability to lift 50 lbs + consistently is a must.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Leadership:
Directs and supervises grounds maintenance personnel, assigning tasks and ensuring work is completed efficiently and effectively. Communication coordinate effectively with other company management.
Grounds Maintenance: Summer/Winter
Oversees activities like Weeding, Irrigation, shrub maintenance, planting, tree care, and small landscaping projects. Winter time will be responsible for snow and ice remediation, application of granular and liquid ice melt products.
Landscape Design and Management:
May be involved in planning and implementing landscape designs, ensuring aesthetics and functionality.
Irrigation System Management:
Maintains and organizes irrigation on property including all lawn area, trees and shrubs
Weed Control:
Manages and implements pest control measures to protect plants and maintain grounds.
Equipment Maintenance:
Ensures proper maintenance and repair of groundskeeping equipment, including mowers, tractors, and other tools.
Safety:
Prioritizes safety on the job site, ensuring proper training and adherence to safety protocols.
Record Keeping and Reporting:
Maintains records of work performed, equipment maintenance, and other relevant information.
