As a General Laborer at JR Heritage, you will play a crucial role in expediting and supporting various tasks within the workshop. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in the production and assembly of cabinetry and millwork, ensuring smooth workflow, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assistance in Production: Support craftsmen in the fabrication and assembly of cabinetry and millwork by handling materials, operating machinery under supervision, and following production schedules.
2. Inventory Management: Help in inventory control by organizing and tracking materials, tools, and supplies to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
3. Workspace Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe working environment by sweeping, cleaning, and organizing work areas, disposing of waste properly, and adhering to safety protocols.
4. Expediting: Aid in expediting the production process by ensuring the timely delivery of materials, tools, and components needed for projects.
5. Adherence to Guidelines: Follow established procedures, guidelines, and safety protocols to ensure quality standards, workplace safety, and efficient operations.
Requirements:
Prior experience in a similar role within a woodworking, cabinetry, or millwork environment is preferred but not mandatory.
Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools used in woodworking.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Willingness to learn and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
A valid driver's license and a good driving record are required.
