We are a small residential/commercial/civil construction company. We build houses and commercial buildings from the ground up and do house sites, subdivision roads and septic repair/replacements on the civil side which is what we are hiring for. Right now the ideal candidate we are looking for is a laborer with mechanical aptitude and/or operating experience that can assist with residential house sites, septic repairs, subdivision roads. We are a small company for everyone wears multiple hats, so to speak, so mechanical aptitude is a plus as we do a lot of our own equipment maintenance and repairs.
Wage for this position is in the $20s and up (depending on experience) full time year round work (not a requirement as some civil construction workers prefer to do snow removal in the winter), lots of overtime if desired in the summers, 401k with employer match, and PTO.
We are also seeking full time truck drivers and operators.
Duties
-Utilize mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain heavy equipment such as hydraulic excavator, dozer, roller, skidsteer, loader.
- Running compactor, grade checking, shoveling, raking, greasing equipment, fueling equipment, pipe-fitting, picking up parts and materials.
- Arrive on time and willing to go the extra mile to make the project successful.
- Adhere to OSHA regulations and safety protocols at all times.
- Have a positive attitude and receive direction and criticism well.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a laboring or operating role.
- Clean driving and criminal record.
- Reliable transportation.
- Proficiency in operating equipment like hydraulic excavator and dozer.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures.
