Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Electric Motor and Generator Technician to join our team. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a well-established company in a hands-on environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience with electric motors and generators, performing repairs, maintenance, and rewinding services for a variety of motor types.
Responsibilities:
1. Disassemble, inspect, and repair electric motors
2. Rewind electric motors of various sizes and specifications
3. Perform testing and troubleshooting of motor components
4. Ensure all work meets company standards and industry regulations
5. Maintain a clean and safe work environment
6. Provide high-quality customer service through timely and efficient repairs
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
2. Strong knowledge of repair techniques (rewinding experience a plus)
3. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
4. Experience with motor testing and troubleshooting
5. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
7. Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic
8. Ability to travel occasionally for field Service Calls
9. Clean driving record and Alaska State Driver’s License
10. Additional consideration for AK Electrical Fitness Card holder
