We are looking for a Network Technician to join our team. Associates degree preferred and/or 2 years of experience.
Job Qualifications include the following:
Able to install, maintain, update & repair computer hardware & software.
Must have good communication, organizational & problem-solving skills.
Assembles & configures network components & associated services.
Set up & maintains basic network operations, including assembly of network hardware, and provides assistance to the network administrator.
Performs network troubleshooting to isolate & diagnose common network problems.
Upgrades network hardware & components as required.
Installs/upgrades & configures network printing, directory structures, rights, and security, software & files services.
Provides users with network technical support as needed.
Respond to the needs & questions of users concerning their access of network resources.
Establish network users, user environments, directories & security for networks being installed.
Installs & tests necessary software & hardware.
Support complex PCs & LAN/WAN networks throughout the organization.
Education and/or Experience
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Windows Server/Client environment, Internet software and Office Suite.

Other:
Possesses a valid Alaska Driver's license and has at least years of driving experience (may include permit time). Ability to safely operate Agency vehicles when needed. Possesses reliable transportation and vehicle insurance when transporting support recipients or conducting Agency business. Lifts 25 pounds from a squat and kneel position on the floor. Works at desk/computer workstation for a minimum of six hours per day.
