Alyeska Helicopters is seeking a full-time office manager whose primary responsibility is to carry out the administrative responsibilities of a Part 141 helicopter flight school. This position also provides customer support for the maintenance staff who service the aircraft for our school and Part 135 sister company.
Responsibilities include:
Manage front office area by responding to daily routines, procedures and needs as they arise
Greet customers, respond to emails, and answer phone calls with warmth and welcome
Utilize proprietary software and databases such as Flight Schedule Pro, QuickBooks, Aeronet, Trello, WebOPSS, and Enrollment Manager
Manage student records and communicate to relevant parties regarding records, financial accounts, and other essential operational items
Create invoices, track and pay expenses, and generate monthly financial reports
Prepare and edit correspondence, communications, and other documents
Collaborate with administration, flight instructors, municipal, state, and federal organizations to maintain effective operations of the school
Provide basic flight training information and engage in outreach efforts with both prospective and current students to promote enrollment and encourage continued participation in flight training
Maintain school licensing and filings
Receive and log packages
Manage office supplies, equipment, and maintain a tidy work environment
The qualified candidate will have the ability to multi-task, be organized, possess excellent customer service skills, and effective communication abilities. Candidates must be mature, dependable and have a desire to learn new information. Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required. Experience with QuickBooks and Google Workspace is helpful. A friendly attitude is critical since the front desk is the public face of Alyeska Helicopters and the maintenance center; this position regularly interacts with customers, coworkers, and various municipality, state and federal agencies. Previous experience with office administration and customer service is required.
Alyeska Helicopters has two locations with the office manager position located in Anchorage on Merrill Field.
Schedule: Full-time. Monday through Friday.
Pay: up to $25/hour depending on experience.
