General Function

Under the direction of the Cook Inlet Lending Center (CILC). This position supports the functions of the administrative and front desk receptionist areas, following general office procedures and standard protocols and processes pertaining to administrative functions as needed.

Major Activities (Typical Duties/Responsibilities)

Responsible for the oversight of CILC’s customer lobby, greeting, and directing customers, answering phones, forwarding calls, receiving, and forwarding messages, and monitoring company email inbox.

Provides callers or walk-in consumers with general program overviews directing them to the appropriate staff member.

Makes copies, scan files, faxes, email, or mail documents for staff.

Filing or archiving of company records to include electronic copies.

Maintains office and organization supplies, cleanliness of reception, lobby, conference room and kitchen area.

Performs a variety of general administrative support services for CILC staff.

Supports the CILC Office Coordinator in matters that involve the building/office.

Cross trains in reviewing and reconciling daily checks and credit/debit card receipts.

May support statistical or accounting responsibilities at a beginner level depending upon departmental need.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills/Abilities

Knowledge of routine office procedures, computer, and computer functions.

High level of proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, or other databases.

Ability to deal with multiple problems and determine specific courses of action.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Ability to interact with a culturally or economically diverse demographic.

Ability to multi-task while setting priorities.

Typing speed of 40 wpm.

Education and Experience

Associate degree in business or related field; business school coursework in office administration or experience can be substituted on a year for year basis.

1-2 years’ office or customer service experience

Valid Alaska Driver's License
