We are looking for a team player that can follow directions and can perform the machining tasks in a timely manner.
Experience: 5 years manual machining.
We are a job shop, some jobs require disassembly and reassembly of jobs to perform the machining repairs such as electric motors, gear boxes and winches for boats.
The industry that we provide services for are construction, heavy equipment, fishing, forestry, marine, oil & gas, and small walk in jobs.
Responsibilities:
Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
Read and interpret blueprints.
Use precision machinery and equipment such as lathes, vertical and horizontal milling machines, hydraulic press', band saws, push broaches and a variety of cutting tools and grinding equipment.
Operations performed: machine shafts, pins, bushings, gears, OD and ID threads such as SAE, acme, and tapered, API threads would be a bonus. Cut key seats and key slots, Drilling and tapping holes.
You will need basic measuring equipment such as OD/ID micrometers, calipers and scales, basic hand tools; crescent wrenches, hammer, Allen wrenches, screw drivers and files.
