As Machine Maintenance, your primary responsibility will be to assist with maintaining equipment and grounds for our park. Must enjoy outdoors and be willing to work in all weather conditions. Must be highly competent in how to safely operate hand tools and power tools. Needs to complete assigned tasks efficiently and without direct supervision. Must have valid Drivers License. Must have HS diploma/GED. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test. Must be able to lift 75 lbs regularly. Will stand, kneel, walk, climb, sit in all types of weather, cold, hot, wind, rain, snow. Must be 21 or older. Must be willing & able to work evenings and weekends. Must be able to legally possess or purchase a firearm in the state of Alaska.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
-Maintenance - serve as point of contact for Manager for maintenance issues. Ongoing responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Maintain Trap/Skeet target throwing machines through use of troubleshooting
-Maintain small equipment (push mowers, weed trimmers, leaf blowers, snow blowers, chain saws) as needed
-Maintenance of a fleet of vehicles (skid steer, vehicles, tractor, side x sides)
-Basic plumbing & electrical
-Snow removal, ice melt, sanding (hand shovel, snow blower, skid steer, tractor)
-Ensure that park appearances are properly maintained and reflect standards of cleanliness (picking up trash by hand)
-Practice and enforce workplace safety by eliminating hazards, always using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hearing protection, appropriate footwear, chaps, hardhat
-Maintain a clean, well-groomed, professional appearance at all times
-Excellent people skills, ability to communicate in a professional and courteous manner
QUALIFICATIONS
-Effectively handle multiple projects with a positive, can-do attitude
-Attention to detail and observant to surroundings
-Ability and willingness to work with purpose and a strong sense of urgency while striving for excellence
-Proven ability to operate all equipment and tools necessary to perform the job
-Understanding of basic machinery maintenance, electrical, hydraulics, and electronics
-Verifiable experience in the maintenance trades
