Job Title: General Laborer

Department: Facilities

What We Are Seeking: A self-motivated General Laborer to work with the construction team from the Facilities Department to complete a variety of skilled and unskilled construction laborer tasks. You will expedite supplies to work sites, stage for work, assist with the work, and be responsible for site cleanup on new construction, renovation, and maintenance projects.

Additional Responsibilities:

Qualifications, Education & Experience:

3 to 6 months of general laborer experience is required. We are willing to provide training for CNV Tribal Citizens.

Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and leadership skills; including the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.

Good communication skills.

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational abilities.

Ability to function well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Superb time management skills to ensure scheduled activities are followed and punctal arrival for work.

Must be familiar with safe work practices.

Must be able to lift/carry 51 – 80lbs at times.

Must be able to use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment safely and effectively.

A Highschool Diploma or GED is required.

A valid Alaska Driver’s license is required for this position and the ability to be insured on CVTC’s vehicle insurance policy.

AN/AI Preference: As allowed in P.L. 93-638, preference for employment will be given to Alaska Native and American Indian peoples.
