General Laborers perform tasks involving physical labor for residential and commercial job sites. Operate a variety of hand and power tools. Clean and prepare job sites, pick up equipment and materials and bring them to and from job sites, clean up rubble, debris and remove waste materials. Assist other craft workers. Must have a dependable FULL SIZE TRUCK for this position AND a valid driver's license. Please do not apply if you don't have both.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in construction projects.
Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools, equipment and secure job sites each day in order to eliminate potential hazards.
Handle and store materials.
Load and unload trucks and haul material.
Purchase and pick up equipment and materials. Will be compensated with mileage pay per federal standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
Must possess and maintain a valid and appropriate states driver's license and auto insurance coverage as required by the state prior to employment.
Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions and communicate orally and in writing.
Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
