General information
This position will perform general aircraft fleet maintenance, repairs, and services. All maintenance procedures will comply with Federal Aviation Regulations and company standards to ensure safe and reliable flights.
We are a small family-run aviation business that operates seasonally out of a private airstrip in Denali National Park with a winter maintenance base in Birchwood, Alaska. Our fleet consists of PA-31s and C-206s. We are looking to add another A&P mechanic to our maintenance team; current students will be considered but will need to take their licensing exam within 4-5 months. Hours are flexible but must be willing to work out of Denali in the summer months (housing provided) and Birchwood from October - April. Pay is competitive, starting at $26 hr or salary depending on experience and agreed-upon schedule.
General responsibilities (including but limited to)
· Perform efficient troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of the aircraft fleet in accordance with applicable
regulations, manufacturer’s instructions, and company policies.
· Perform required inspection items and assist in Company training programs.
· Documentation of each repair or inspection.
· Assure that hangar workshops and other assigned areas are maintained orderly.
· Responsible for the Company’s Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and
Safety Assurance outputs.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Mechanic or Director of Operations.
Qualifications:
· Must currently hold an A/P license or plan to take A/P exam within 4-5 months
· Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
· Possess a valid driver’s license.
· Must pass DOT-required pre-employment drug screen and, after that, submit to DOT-mandated random drug and
alcohol testing.
· Duties require typical bending, stooping, reaching, stretching, climbing stairs, etc., handling supplies and equipment
weighing up to 50 lbs.
· Must have reliable transportation.
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
