Credit Union 1 is looking for a Corporate Recruiter to help us find, attract, engage, and hire the best talent to full various positions throughout CU1. You will create equitable hiring processes that are an extension of what it is like to work at Credit Union 1 by communicating openly and keeping the credit union core values at the forefront of everything you do.

JOB SUMMARY:

Manage the daily operations of the Corporate Recruitment role. Oversee the implementation and maintenance of recruitment/hiring policies and procedures to ensure legal and compliant practices are utilized throughout the organization. Develop recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of the organization on an ongoing basis in addition to long term strategic goals related to staffing. Represent the organization throughout the state of Alaska, bringing brand recognition to communities served by the credit union while building relationships, networks and professional alliances to promote interest in potential candidates.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Achieves staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates; advising managers of potential candidates.

Establish recruiting requirements by studying organizational plans and objectives; meeting with managers to discuss needs.

Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, industry recruiters, media and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; make presentation and maintain rapport throughout the community.

Schedule and lead regular job fair events to build brand recognition in the community and maintain labor pools of qualified candidates.

Determine applicant requirements by studying job descriptions/qualifications and meeting with managers regarding specific position and department needs

Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules; arranging travel, lodging, and meals if applicable; escorting applicant to interviews; arranging community tours

Improves organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; generate and monitor job offers and compensation practices and emphasizing benefits and perks.

Participate in relevant salary surveys; learn the PCS wage evaluation system, building compensation packages consistent with organizational budgets

Avoid legal challenges by engaging in solid recruitment and hiring practices, enforcing policies with managers, recommending new procedures and conducting relevant training for recruitment and hiring

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal and professional networks, and participating in professional organizations.

Engaging with new employees for initial on-boarding and introduction to the organization.

Collect and maintain data, trending reasons for individuals leaving the organization, working to build retention and reduce turnover.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be high school graduate or equivalent.

Bachelors degree preferred. Experience can be substituted on a year for year basis.

5 years exempt and non-exempt recruiting experience in full life-cycle environment, including management of high volume roles simultaneously; demonstrated experience recruiting professional, technical and administrative roles

Minimum 2 years’ experience recruiting in relevant industry environment preferred

Strong analytical skills and ability to multi-task.

Willing to travel as necessary throughout the state of Alaska as well as interstate travel.

A professional demeanor and strict adherence to rules of confidentiality are required.

Responsible for abiding and complying with the policy for compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering laws and regulations (BSA/AML) and the policy for compliance with office of foreign assets control laws and regulations (OFAC).

This position is located at our Headquarters building located at 1941 Abbott Road. The hours for this position are Monday - Friday; 9:00 am - 6:00 pm but flexibility is required for recruitment related events.
