Join South Central Area Health Education Center for a virtual 6-day pre-employment training. This is free to all participants, funded through the federal American Apprenticeship Initiative grant. Classes begin April 2nd and continue April 5th-9th. Class will be held via Zoom 9am-4pm.
The Healthcare Pre-Employment Training is designed for adult participants to prepare for the healthcare workforce and to explore potential career pathways in the healthcare, human services, and behavioral health fields. This course explores resume building, interview skills, and networking in addition to an introduction to a variety of health-related professions. Throughout the course, students will speak with professionals and participate in hands-on training. Certification is included as part of the training and may include Blood Borne Pathogens Certification, Mental Health First Aid Certification, and/or CPR/First Aid Certification.
This 1 week PATH Academy meets the standards of a Quality Pre-Apprenticeship program.
Certifications Earned through PATH Academy:
Mental Health First Aid
Basic Life Support (BLS) or Heartsaver CPR
First Aid
Blood Borne Pathogens
