Position: Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)

Location: Palmer, AK

Schedule: 12-hour shifts | 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Pay: $20 – $25 per hour, depending on experience

TDL Staffing is urgently seeking a compassionate, resident-focused Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to join the care team at a respected skilled nursing facility in Palmer, Alaska. This role is essential in supporting residents with daily care needs while promoting dignity, respect, and comfort in a home-like environment.

The ideal candidate demonstrates patience, respect, and excellent communication skills, with the ability to multitask and collaborate effectively within a team.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure resident safety by following community policies, infection control, emergency procedures, and proper use of equipment.

Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral and nail care, feeding, and mobility support while respecting their dignity and preferences.

Monitor and record vital signs, weights, and assist with rehabilitative and restorative nursing as directed.

Maintain clean, organized, and comfortable resident environments, including making beds and supporting participation in activities.

Promote positive relationships with residents, families, visitors, and team members through clear, compassionate communication.

Respond promptly to resident needs and concerns, maintaining privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Report significant changes in resident condition, behavior, or care needs to the Charge Nurse in a timely manner.

Participate in care planning by providing relevant observations and assisting with documentation.

Support orientation and training of new staff and actively engage in ongoing education and quality improvement initiatives.

Uphold company policies and regulatory requirements, demonstrating professionalism, sound judgment, and teamwork in all duties.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

CPR and First Aid certifications

Preferred: Successful completion of four (4) months of CNA employment, all state-required training programs, and a competency evaluation program

Food Workers Card required

1 year caregiving experience preferred

Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)

Proficient computer skills

Support a drug-free work environment

Background check will be conducted as part of the hiring process
