Welcome to Buzzed Beetle, Anchorage’s only full Hard Seltzer Brewery. Flavor is queen in our establishment. Buzzed also creates Zero-Proof mocktails, gourmet sodas, iced teas and ice cream floats. We want the customer to fully invest in our product and our story and we do that by providing them with something flavorful with attentive staff so that they will want to re-visit time and time again.

Summer months May 15th – Sept 15th - Buzzed will be open Tue-Sun. for a total of 38 hours.

Winter months Sept 16th – May 14th Buzzed will be open Wed-Sun. for a total of 32 hours.

Position Description

Correctly make a variety of featured beverages, using the specified measured pouring portions with appropriate garnish, accurate pricing and use of specific glassware for that beverage. You will also use a Tap dispenser to fill hard seltzers and gourmet sodas.

Bartenders will always comply with an enforce alcohol awareness laws and procedures.

Adhere to established procedures, departmental guidelines and policies at all times, including but not limited to guest service, cashiering, portion control, sanitation and organization.

Utilizing proper cash/comp handling procedures. Must also charge correct price and make change for all food & beverages in Point-of-Sale System.

Extraordinary attention to detail, quality and service.

Knowledge of operation and cleaning of various equipment, including but not limited to frozen beverage machine, dishwasher, pretzel and cheese warmer.

Maintain a clean and organized bar at all times. Side work, cleaning, and stocking duties must be completed as assigned and completed in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner.

Break down and setup of picnic tables and umbrellas in our outside seating area during summer months.

Sweep and mops floors.

Clean windows.

Remove trash and keep the guest area clean and sanitized.

Clean and maintain bathrooms.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to effectively communicate with guests, co-workers, and management.

Ability to handle all types of guest related situations.

Performs any and all relative miscellaneous duties as directed.

Position Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.

High School diploma or equivalent.

The ability to effectively communicate in English.

Must have a minimum of six months’ experience bartending.

Able to lift, carry, or maneuver up to 25 pounds and sit, walk, stand, bend, lift, reach, pull, push, squat and grasp the majority.

Work areas could have high volumes, diverse clientele, noise, minimal lighting or bright lighting, or be in an outside seating section that will be monitored at all times. Bartenders will rotate every hour from inside to outside.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, Skills)

Six months of bartending or like service experience.

Current Training for Alcohol Professionals (TAP) card.

Must be able to legally serve alcohol in the State of Alaska.

State of Alaska Food Workers Card.

Ability to successfully pass the background check.

Salary: $15 an hour + tips. Performance bonuses every quarter.
