Great opportunity for a Head Cook to work on the North Slope with Denali Universal Services! Under limited supervision, the Head Cook oversees and directs the day-to-day food and housekeeping services of a remote camp on the North Slope of Alaska. Employee is responsible for client relations and all aspects of food operations as well as additional responsibilities required by the company and/or client.
Key Responsibilities
- Staff Coordination: Supervise and train staff, conduct safety meetings, and ensure adherence to uniform regulations.
- Food Management: Plan, cook, and oversee meal preparation, monitor inventory, and order supplies. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
- Client Interaction: Build and maintain positive relationships with camp and administrative staff.
- Special Events: Handle catering functions and special setups as required.
- Flexibility: Be ready to work at various locations and perform other duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, 2-3 years of high-volume food production and supervisory experience.
- Certification & Skills: ServSafe Manager certification, valid driver’s license, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong English language skills.
- Additional Requirements: Pass background check, drug screen, and physical requirements.
