The Arctic Rose Cafe is a public restaurant within the Anchorage Senior Activity Center. While our main clientele are seniors, we serve everyone! You will be the face of the restaurant and will get to know our seniors well. We seek someone who enjoys fostering a positive atmosphere and maintaining a well-organized restaurant. The restaurant is open between 10 am to 2 pm; the shift is part-time with the opportunity for more hours!
Qualifications
Restaurant Experience Preferred
Point of Sale Experience Preferred
Must be 21 or older
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed
A positive attitude and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
Food Handlers Certificate or ability to obtain quickly (training available)
TAPS certified or ability to obtain certification quickly (training available)
Job Duties
Opening restaurant every morning and closing restaurant every afternoon M-F
Greeting guests in a friendly manner as they enter and providing them with the menu and daily specials (as applicable)
Taking guest orders, and serving customers
Communicating with the kitchen about orders and customers
Distributing pickup orders for senior meal program
Maintain a neat and organized restaurant by cleaning and bussing tables
Engaging with guests to ensure they're happy with the food and service
Responsible for all cash and credit card transactions in the restaurant
Daily reconciliations with the accounting office

Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
