We train for this super fun position!
Full time two tours per day $16 per hour plus tips. You work with a guide partner to provide our guests with a great tour in the heart of Alaska near Denali National Park.
On site housing for $15 per day.

We have a great summer Business in the Heart Of Alaska and we are looking for a great person to join us!
We train for this position (it takes between one to two weeks to learn to drive our awesome draft teams) You work as a team with a guide to provide our guests with an amazing unique outdoor Alaskan experience. A lot of people think of Alaska as being developed with dog teams but there were a great deal of draft horse teams that worked hard and pulled freight up the Alaskan highway the history is really interesting.
This is a wonderful outdoor position in the heart of Alaska. We are looking for great people with a love for animals, the outdoors, people, and the Alaskan wilderness.
We do have on site housing, offer training, and a great work environment. Each season brings challenges, great adventure, and a chance to make lifelong friends.
This position does carries and enormous responsibility. The position requires a very high degree of professionalism, confidence, and knowledge. Excellent communication, customer service, and multi-taking skills are required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Knowledge and Desire to work with large Draft Horses
Driving a draft team of horses professionally and safely
Groom and Feed Horses on a Regular Schedule
Water horses
Clean and take care of all gear
Protect Horses and Guests from Harm
Greet guests as they arrive and depart in a timely manner
Provide professional level entertainment on guided tour
Interpretive presentation must be given several times per day with enthusiasm
Accommodate guests to ensure they receive prompt, courteous service
Knowledge of Driving a Draft Horse Team and ability to groom Horses and lift Feet and check for Rocks in shoes
Effectively and positively communicate with guests, employees, and vendors at all times
Diplomatic and prompt handling of guest complaints
Take charge when upper management is unavailable
Ability to work under erratic deadlines and with changing priorities
Complete required reports correctly and in a timely manner
Ability to work a varied schedule
Make sure all guests are accounted for
Report to work in proper clothing, clean, and ready for work
Maintain positive attitude in high stress situations
Go the extra mile/Follow through to ensure guest satisfaction
Other duties as required and as they arise
Qualifications:
Ability to remain positive in stressful situation
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs required
Professional and clean appearance required
