We are looking for a Dishwasher/Prep Cook to join our small kitchen staff and help maintain cleanliness around our restaurant.
Responsibilities include collecting used dishes, plates, and utensils, loading washing machines and stacking washed items appropriately. There would also be some prep work to be done, such as chopping fruit and vegetables, mixing sauces and dressings, etc. Note that this role works in shifts and, occasionally, hours may require flexibility.
Responsibilities
Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
Load and unload dish washing machines
Wash specific items by hand
Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment appropriately
Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours
Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) and inform when stock is low.
Remove garbage regularly.
Remove linen bags regularly.
Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor.
Help with the prep list as necessary.
Requirements and skills
Work experience as a dishwasher or waitstaff.
Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed.
Time management skills
Attention to detail and sanitation rules
Availability to work in shifts, occasionally flexible with daytime and weekends.
Experience as a prep or line cook a plus, but willing to train the right person.
