All employees must embrace NANA’s mission of improving the quality of life of our NANA shareholders and NANA’s shareholder hire preference policy.Reporting to the Director of Shareholder Employment Advancement, the position is responsible for coordinating and supporting programs and activities that advance the training, development, and employment opportunities for NANA shareholders. This position is responsible for coordinating, communicating and facilitating shareholder employment and advancement at NANA and its family of companies.Essential Duties and Responsibilities§Coordinates shareholder development, education and training programs that include culturally relevant components.§Work with shareholders to assist and counsel them to become prepared and qualified for employment, education, or training opportunities.§Travel to NANA work sites to effectively identify, encourage and work with shareholders interested in development, education, or training opportunities.§Creatively market and reach out to shareholders to participate in programs. Maintain access to resources and services available to the community.§At the guidance of and in partnership with the Director of Shareholder Employment Advancement, establishes relationships with external businesses and organizations to promote and support shareholder employment, education, training and development efforts.§Collaborate and coordinate visits to present information to shareholder students.§Prepare reports, correspondence, emails, memoranda, documents, and presentations.§Provide various administrative support to the shareholder relations department.§Arrange programs, events and conferences including travel plans, itineraries, schedules, and administrative functions.§Act as back up for shareholder services for shareholders contacting or visiting the Anchorage office i.e. job application or resume assistance, burial assistance, shareholder records, etc.§Support shareholder tasks in cooperation with Human Resources and Recruiting.§Other duties that are relevant to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.QualificationsMinimum Requirements§Must be a NANA shareholder who owns stock in NANA Regional Corporation, Inc.§Atleast two-years post-secondary education degree from an accredited educational institution. In lieu of this requirement an additional two years of related experience can be substituted.§3- years’ relevant work experience that demonstrates intermediate knowledge of business operations and activities.§Experience in human resources, training, education or workforce readiness and development preferred.§Experience balancing multiple activities while still paying attention to details.§High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations as well as build positive relationships with shareholders and partners.§Must be able to operate in a strict climate of confidentiality and discretion.§To perform this job successfully, the employee must have intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and ability to learn other computer programs as required by assigned tasks.§Demonstrated track record in displaying strong initiative and performance delivery.§Excellent written and verbal communication skills.§A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NANA’s vehicle insurance policy.Working Conditions and Physical RequirementsWeather: Indoors - environmentally controlled; requires most or all work to be done inside unless traveling to businesses, environments will vary depending on industry.Noise level: Moderate. The noise level in the work environment is usually that of a standard office atmosphere.Description of environment: Office building with standard office environment.Physical requirements: Employee is required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.Travel: Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time within the NANA Region and to other locations as needed.
