Childcare Program Support Specialist– The Program Support Specialist must be able to effectively work with families and other staff, assist in the classroom as needed, and be sensitive to the needs of individual children. As well as having strong organizational skills and the ability to support the administrative needs of the Academy as well as the families.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Keeping the front desk tidy and presentable with all necessary materials and ensuring the reception and lobby areas
are sanitized and organized.
Greet and welcome families and guests.
Answer questions and field complaints from families.
Receive letters, packages etc. and distribute them.
Prepare outgoing mail by drafting correspondence, securing parcel etc.
Monitor office supplies and place orders when necessary.
Ensure that equipment and materials are accessible, appropriate and in good condition.
Work with Chef regarding kitchen/food inventory.
Assist families with logging in and questions regarding the Brightwheel software.
Assist with the maintenance of the children’s records for State Licensing’s.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, conferences, workshops and other career development and professional activities.
Complete continuing education hours (minimum of 35 hrs.) to exceed State requirements each year.
With the correct credentials support the center as a CCA.
Help with the monthly article to be completed each month for the center newsletter.
Maintain a pleasant, comfortable atmosphere for staff and children.
Learn to operate new office technologies as they are developed and implemented.
Coordinate and organize activities such as meetings, travel, conferences, and all department activities, as directed by the Operations Manager.
Adheres to Confidentiality Policy and HIPAA.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or GED.
Two (2) years’ experience working as an Office Administrator or equivalent in a childcare setting.
In-depth understanding of childhood development preferred.
Food Worker Card, preferred.
Ability to lift and move up to sixty (60) pounds.
Must pass a state and federal background check.
CPR and First Aid Certification.

Schedule: Monday – Friday. 6:45 a.m. – 2:45 p.m. Full-time (40 hrs./week), full-year position.
Salary: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour DOE/E. Plus full benefits: Federal Employee Health Benefits (FEHB) medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid leave and holidays, and retirement plan with matching contributions.
