Preschool Teacher Assistant – Plan and carry out a daily program designed to meet the physical and developmental needs of a group of children. This position will directly support the Toddler classroom.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Assist with scheduled program appropriate developmental experiences for a group of children.
Maintain a physical environment conducive to children’s growth and development and promote optimal program functioning.
Consider and provide for the individual needs of each child in relationship to their cultural and socioeconomic background, emotional or physical handicaps, and individual learning style.
Respect the dignity and basic rights of each child.
Help children learn to adapt to and cope with real-life situations; to develop appropriate habits in such activities as eating, dressing, napping, and personal hygiene.
Make daily observations of the health of children, reporting conditions which require attention.
Maintain progress records on the emotional, physical, social and intellectual development of assigned children.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, conferences, workshops, and other career development professional activities.
Assist with public relation and events.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or GED.
Child Development Associate (CDA) certification, preferred.
One (1) year experience working as a Childcare Teacher Assistant.
Food Worker Card, preferred.
Ability to lift and move up to sixty (60) pounds.
Must pass a state and federal background check.
CPR and First Aid Certification.

Schedule: Monday – Friday; 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
