Basic Life Support (CPR/First Aid) Instructor Description
Instructor jobs entail creativity and the ability to follow standard BLS (Basic Life Support) curriculum. The instructor should have practical experience in performing the skills taught and the ability to communicate the skills to students in a clear and precise manner.
Programs Instructed:
CPR/AED: Adult, Pediatric & Infant (Workplace/Community)
CPR for the Healthcare Professional: Basic Life Support (BLS)
Basic First Aid: Adult, Pediatric & Infant
Bloodborne Pathogens
Babysitters Certification Course
Wilderness First Aid (ASHI/ ARC)
Qualifications/Requirements:
Always conduct oneself in a VERY professional manner.
Must be certified American Heart Association, American Red Cross, and/or Health & Safety Institute Instructor
Instruction of BLS/ HSFA and all HSI/ASHI course programs to the community
Answers student questions in a professional, competent, and effective manner
Performs and evaluate student practical skills in accordance with guidelines provided
Administers and grades written examinations
Ensures the reporting of grades (pass/fail) to the training center
Ensures instructor evaluations are returned to the training center
Answer and respond to phone calls in a timely manner
