This position is responsible to service guest rooms while maintaining the Hotels Preferred Standards. This individual is required to acknowledge all patrons appropriately and assist with information and/or special requests.
Essential Functions:
Coordinate with Assistant Executive Housekeeper
Cleaning assigned guest rooms includes:
Cleaning the bathroom area (toilet, shower and tub, and vanity) and restocking with amenities
Straighten and clean the bedroom area (change linen, vacuum, and dust furniture, etc.)
Check to see that all appropriate Hotel information is restocked in room and in proper place (stationary, directory, notepad, and pens, Do Not Disturb Sign, restaurant and club information, Hotel brochures, etc.)
Clean and restock bar (napkins, clean bar glasses, etc)
Inspect furniture, fixtures and equipment and report items needing repairs to housekeeping office (doors and frames, televisions, upholstery, plumbing, paint or vinyl, etc.)
Guest belongings organized
Retrieve supplies to maid closet
Coordinate with security regarding emergency response team functions
Work various 8 hour shifts while standing
Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds periodically throughout shift
Other duties as assigned
Skills/Abilities:
Ability to work quickly, accurately, and safely under pressure is required of the position. Individual should be courteous, patient and have a cooperative attitude toward his/her job and other personnel. Communication skills such as listening, speaking, and reading.
