Todd Communications, a book publisher, wholesale book distributor and international print broker is looking for a full time accounting manager to oversee all financial aspects of the company's business including preparing information for our tax CPAs, balance sheet and p & ls. Position supervises one other accounting person. Job includes payroll, general ledger, Quickbooks, writing checks, monthly accounts receivable and monthly Rental Income Report. We are looking for a highly motivated person who enjoys helping a small company survive and thrive. Todd Communications is a 45-year old Anchorage publisher founded and still run by Flip Todd, a former Anchorage journalist. In addition to publishing books, maps and calendars, the company assists other publishers to design and print their books, as well as being the 49th state's only wholesale book distributor operating from warehouses in Juneau, Anchorage and Fairbanks.
Working hours are 8 am to 5 pm five days a week at our office located at 611 E. 12th Ave., the Todd Communications Bldg. Applicants must live within daily commuting distance of the office and reliably show up at work daily. Salary range is $65,000 to $70,000 per year or more depending on experience and knowledge.
