Responsibilities for this Licensed Practical Nurse opportunity include, but are not limited to:
Demonstrate excellence in customer service and public relations to promote a positive professional image
Work independently with attention to detail and possess the necessary knowledge of all aspects of daily operations
Provide a basic level of general nursing care to forensic clients, patients, and inmates with mental, emotional, or developmental disabilities
Provide care under the clinical direction of a physician
Respond to medical emergencies within the correctional facility, providing immediate care and coordinating with other healthcare and security staff
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, documenting assessments, interventions, and communication with inmates
Advocate for the health and well-being of inmates, ensuring that their healthcare needs are addressed appropriately
JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE RN REGISTERED NURSE:
1+ years of recent corrections experience required
BLS issued through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Must be eligible to work in the United States
RN license in Alabama or compact license
