Responsibilities Develop and integrate innovative approaches to attain goals and minimize expenditures. Brief and interact with senior military and civilian leaders to explain, advocate and express facts and ideas on logistics issues. Ensures successful customer support, coordination, and communication with supported units, including scheduling and execution to find ways to improve production and/or quality. Manage personnel engaged in directing, developing and/or implementing logistics policies, processes, initiatives and/or programs for major, highly complex weapon systems acquisition and sustainment functions in the areas of logistics support. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03/GS-13 pay band which includes: 1) leading / managing assigned area through a group of professional, technical, and support personnel; 2) directing, developing or implementing logistics policies, processes, initiatives or programs for complex weapon or information systems; and 3) implementing strategic direction for vital programs with long-term impact on large numbers of people. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Conflict Management Customer Service (Clerical/Technical) Leadership Manages Resources Oral Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13/NH-03). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
