Description Seeking a short-term contract / temporary position? Robert Half is doing the hiring process for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk for a rapidly-expanding company. Serving as the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. We seek out ambitious professionals who are creators, leaders, and pioneers. Located in Opelika, Alabama, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short-term contract / temporary position.Responsibilities
Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners
Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling
Complete full-cycle A/P
Provide support during internal and external audits
Complete special projects on an as-needed basis
Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed
Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department
Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them
Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail Requirements - Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Command of Yardi
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
