Best of all, we are growing!KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESThe Conner Industries Integrated Packaging Sales Representative position is ideal for the candidate who has had success in sales of pallets, wood packaging or corrugate packaging and currently resides in the Montgomery, AL area. This position is focused on building new pallet and packaging business in our Montgomery facility. If being an entrepreneur with unlimited earning potential based on hard work and dedication, this is the job for you.RequirementsDUTIES AND REQUIREMENTSThe primary requirements of the role are all phases of the sales process: Prospecting, cold calling, selling, preparing and presenting quotes and proposals, closing and general account management activities.

Learn the industrial lumber, foam and corrugate markets and processes required to manufacture and sell industrial packaging components and assemblies.

Understand and effectively present Conner’s manufacturing, service and quality capabilities that benefit the Automotive & Appliance industries specifically

Willing to take a hands-on approach in all aspects of our business

Utilize and maintain the Conner CRM and pipeline system to reach business objectives

Develop and negotiate customized pricing contracts while understanding risk/reward, providing reports to management

Communicate internally with Conner Purchasing, Production, Transportation and Accounting, with the ultimate goal of managing order flow to ensure that we provide outstanding customer service

Must live in or around the central Alabama area. Our plant is located in Montgomery, AL

Travel up to 30% (depending on the area of specific focus)

Manage account profitability and grow revenue and revenue base

Manage orders through production cycle and satisfy the customer

Demonstrated sales experience and ability to work effectively as part of a team

Self-Starter and eager to learn, motivated by the hunt and a desire to improve

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to prioritize and multi-task with a strong attention to detail

Ability to develop and give oral presentations to both small and large groups

Potentially relocate to develop new regions/markets

Experience in sales processes including cold calls, prospecting, target selling and account management

Analytical thinker with a strong emphasis on data gathering and analysis

Energetic, organized with ability to manage a wide range of projects and priorities

Understand the importance of ‘do what you say’

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience

Coursework in business curriculum a plus

Minimum of 2 years of experience in pallet or packaging sales or other customer-facing roles

Sales experience in manufacturing or industrial preferred

Strong computer skills with experience in the Microsoft Office suite
