Job Summary: DT Professional Services is seeking a broadly-talented, self-motivated Network Administrator/Engineer to join the team!This is a hybrid position that requires onsite work 3 times a week at Maxwell Air Force Base inMontgomery, AL. Responsibilities:
Perform vulnerability scans of network enclaves
Maintain knowledge of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and intelligence within the cybersecurity field to ensure remediation against known threats
Assist with vulnerability remediation, as necessary
Conduct analysis results to identify high risk vulnerabilities impacting the network and ensure proper vulnerability management security postures
Perform and troubleshoot network and host vulnerability scanners
Maintain knowledge of applicable Computer Network Defense policies, regulations, and compliance documents
Document policies and procedures for the use of vulnerability assessment tools and methodologies
Supports LAN performance and LAN security
Ensures that the organization security procedures are properly implemented and enforced
Configures, supports, and troubleshoots all aspects of layer 1 (data cabling) and layer 2 (switching) of TCP/IP network
Manages network security and compliance by designing, implementing, and maintaining proper network segmentation utilizing firewall support, VLANs and software defined networking
Knowledgeable with current technological environments such as the Internet, Client/Server, Microsoft Operating System (OS) software, CISCO hardware, VLANS and systems implementation within a networked environment
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance ( U.S. Citizen)
5yearsexperience as a Network Administrator/Engineer
Cisco Networking background – detailed knowledge and extensive experience with Cisco networking systems – routers (2900 series), switches (C1000 series, SG-500, Catalyst 3000 series), Access points (Catalyst 9105, Aironet 1130/1140), and Wireless controllers
Ability to identify, deploy, and manage complex networking systems
Extensive knowledge and experience with networking protocols such as, LAN, VLAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN, RIP, PPTP, BGP, OSPF, etc.
Experience and knowledge of network visualization and segmentation
Advanced troubleshooting skills
Analyzing existing hardware, software, and networking systems
Testing and troubleshooting installed systems
Upgrading/replacing network hardware and software systems
Applying network security and firmware upgrades
Ability to work independently (90% of time) and solve problems
Preferred Qualifications:
Cisco certification desired, but not required (CCNA, CCNP, CCE)
Knowledge of Fortinet Cybersecurity equipment
Preferred IT equipment experience: Dell, Cisco, & Fortinet
The compensation range for this position:$80k - $100k annually.
