Working with a steel pipe manufacturing company in the Mobile area that is seeking qualified Industrial Technicians!Description:#1 Five years’ experience in an Industrial Plant/Manufacturing Environment#2 Ability to use Computer based software to complete job tasks#3 Troubleshoot and/or modify PLC based equipment, work with various equipment (AC and DC motors, transformers, circuit breakers, rectifiers, electronic controls, control panels, inverters and motor drives, ability to work with conduit and fittings, wire and cable, and hardware installation)#4 Print Reading, Drawing Interpretation, Wiring Diagrams, and Schematics#5 Proper Use of Tools and Measuring Devices and Safe Work MentalityResponsibilities:
Receives work instructions, wiring diagrams, blueprints, specifications to perform scheduled, emergency, routine repairs, calibrations, and/or preventative maintenance. Interprets drawings/sketches to determine best work procedures, tools and equipment needed to troubleshoot/repair problem. Will repair, rebuild and test electrical components to make sure equipment is back up and running as quickly and efficiently as possible. (Does not need to be able to program PLCs, just troubleshoot) - mostly will be doing maintenance on existing equipment (80%) upgrading equipment (20%)
Troubleshooting electrical systems using ladder logic, electrical prints and/or schematics, knowledge of 3-phase electricity
Experience with AC/DC motors, generators, transformers, circuit breakers, rectifiers, electronic controls, control panels, starters, switches, lighting equipment, electronic scales, power distribution, communication systems, inventors/ motor drives, conduit and fittings (Must be able to bend/run rigid conduit .5 - 2inch)
Capable of troubleshooting motor drives
Diagnoses problems and/or failures and repairs a variety of equipment (Presses, machines, etc.)
Performs routine and preventive maintenance for the purpose of ensuring the ongoing functioning of required tools and equipment.
Maintains tools and/or equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating condition.
Knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic press systems and programmable controls
Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics for the purpose of troubleshooting and repair.
