Lab Service Assistant - Pay is Weekly!

SCHEDULE: Must be available 8:00AM-5:00PM M-F

The work schedule will consist of at least 20 hours, and potentially up to 40 hours per week

Must be available for travel - Needed to provide regional coverage-Nashville, Murfreesboro, Smryna, TN and Dalton, Calhoun, and Catoosa GA.

This position is responsible for organizing and implementing packing and shipping of specimens from the practice to the laboratory as well as ongoing field support and training of assigned existing clients in the territory.

Responsibilities

-Packing specimens for shipping

-Coordinating with courier service for pick-up of Millennium lab specimens

- Assistance with questions or other tasks related to the reporting of Millennium lab results

- Inventorying and ordering the lab supplies that are furnished by or purchased from Millennium

- Schedule and execute in-service training at customer sites

- Train clinic staff in proper processing of requisitions and sample collection procedure

- Provide regular follow up and refresher training to customers as required

- Provide Management with weekly progress reports

- Identify, communicate and help resolve any service issues, billing issues or customer complaints-

- Work as a team with the territory sales rep to ensure excellent on-going customer service and satisfaction with company’s products and services as required

- As required, assist company in obtaining information missing from requisitions in order to facilitate timely specimen processing

- Develop close working relationship and collaborate with Lab staff, especially Billing & Data Entry

- Regular and reliable attendance

- Adhere to confidentiality (HIPAA) requirements

Required Skills:

- Planning and time management skills

- Training and development experience

- Able to maintain a home office

- Clean driving record

- Ability to travel within the territory to service and visit existing Millennium customers

- Professional communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong attention to detail

- Proficient in computer skills e.g. Microsoft Outlook

- High energy level

- Uncompromising ethics and integrity

- Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment

- Ability to develop understanding of Millennium products and services

Required Experience:

- Training and operational work experience

- Experience in a customer service-oriented role

- Prior experience working in a doctor’s office or hospital environment is desirable

Level of Education:

- 2 Year Degree
