Job Title: Systems EngineerJob DescriptionYou will serve as a key technical contributor on our integrated product team in the Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions product line. You will be responsible for deeply impactful contributions to next generation military autonomy. Members on this development team drive collaborative value creation that is greater than the sum of their individual contributions. You will participate in efforts across the full spectrum of technology maturation ranging from Strategic Initiatives, IRAD/CRAD R&D prototypes, EMD units, LRIP units to full rate production systems. As a senior -principal level contributor, you will work with other engineering staff and team leaders to grow and capture our knowledge through engineering changes, lessons learned, insights, Agile retrospectives and product/process improvements in your areas of expertise. Develop RADAR/RF seekers for missile/munition applications.
Architect subsystem solutions that include a combination of COTS and internally developed components.
Design radar, phased array, beam control, signal processing, and seeker subsystems.
Work on high-performance teams supporting programs of national significance.
Participate in Quick React Programs supporting Urgent Material Requests.
Collaborate with other engineering staff and team leaders to implement engineering changes and improvements.
Contribute to Agile retrospectives and product/process improvements.
Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the Systems Engineering organization.
Essential Skills
6-10 years of systems engineering experience in a seeker development program.
Experience with electronic or RF components.
Proficiency in MBSE tools and environments such as Cameo.
Background in RF systems architecture, modeling, design, and testing for active and passive RF seeker/sensor systems.
Experience in weapons systems design, missile systems design, or weapons systems performance analysis.
Experience reviewing mixed signal designs, baseband/RF/Millimeter Wave.
Experience leading technical project teams.
Ability to obtain clearance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must be eligible for a Secret clearance eligible for Top Secret/SCI/SAP/SAR clearance.
BS or MS in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent.
Advanced degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent is preferred.
Experience with RF systems architecture, link budget analyses, and RF propagation models.
Familiarity with RF receivers and transmitters architectures.
Basic knowledge of sensing modalities across the electromagnetic spectrum including Doppler radar, SAR, HRR, LIDAR, and hyperspectral sensing.
Experience with ATR (Automatic Target Recognition).
Experience with FPGA/GPU Radar Processing.
Knowledge of Digital Engineering, Model Based Systems Engineering (SysML), Model Based Agile Engineering, and Agile Mindset principles.
Experience with machine learning/ATR related concepts and techniques.
Work EnvironmentThis role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, and will take the form of a hybrid work format with time split between working onsite and remotely. The position is based in Huntsville.
