Pipe Welder

Description:Seeking Pipe Welders to join their team to support a project through Dec 2025.Performs welding processes on aluminum, steel, and alloy parts and assemblies to required tolerances using welding metals and metal alloys and precision blending using hand tools to prepare metallic surfaces for welding and non-destructive evaluation. Determines layouts and welds parts and assemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications. Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with statistical processes or other control procedures. Joins metal parts to form a permanent bond. Welds metal components and parts using standard specialized equipment such as gas welders and gas torches and may also utilize friction stir welding (FSW) methods using solid-state joining. Uses electrical currents or friction to create heat and bond metals. Observes tests on welded surfaces to evaluate weld quality and conformance to specifications. Set up and operate large, motion-controlled machines to create friction stir welds on launch vehicles. Perform periodic maintenance on machines with complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Accurately use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and torque wrenches.-Familiarity with tube fabrication (bend, flare, fittings, etc.) and pressurized system safety.-Knowledgeable in the use of 3-D CAD tools (CREO is preferred), and ability to read and interpret GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard.-Knowledge of drawing review, scheduling and work order systems, inventory, and various issue tracking systems-TIG welding aerospace stainless steel and inconel hardware, using manual and/or automatic equipment.-Weld preparation including cutting, blending, chamfering, and cleaning parts.-Design support and fabrication of tooling for welding and assembly.-Communicate with engineers on design concepts, offering suggestions for improvements to the design.-Perform Strip Welding and Installation on Flight Hardware.-Review, edit and follow Work Instructions.-Safely work within an industrial environment.-Performs welding processes on aluminum, steel, and alloy parts and assemblies to required tolerances using welding metals and metal alloys and precision blending using hand tools to prepare metallic surfaces for welding and non-destructive evaluation-Determines layouts and welds parts and assemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications-Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with statistical processes or other control procedures-Joins metal parts to form a permanent bondSkills:Blueprint, GD&T, tolerances, assembly, calipers, precision, Tig, Welding, inconel, Inspection, Sheet metal, Tig welding, Fabrication, inconel weldingTop Skills Details:Blueprint, GD&T, tolerances, assembly, calipers, precision, Tig, Welding, inconelAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Validated experience with DC- and AC-TIG welding of aerospace stainless steels and aluminum, inconel alloys.Ability to interpret engineering drawings.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and the ability to document and maintain accurate records.Ability to use precision hand tools, standard mechanical tools, and fabrication shop equipment, also develop fixtures/tooling.Familiar with use of personal computersIf you are interested in working with a recruiter that specializes in the construction and manufacturing industry and received Best of Staffing for the last 2 years, please apply todayAbout Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
