You’d like to do thisBlueHalo is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer who can join as a key part of the NGM Program Leadership team and their associated contracts and supply a systems-minded interface among management, customers, suppliers, and specialty engineers in the system development process . This position will provide technical leadership to multi-disciplinary program teams engaged in the design, development, testing. Successful candidates will:

Establish and maintain program-level systems vision and drive that vision into sub-system development and integration.

Participate in definition of team objectives and provide solutions to complex technical tasks including system design decisions involving trade studies, requirements allocation, and verification methods.

Partner with the program Chief Engineer to set priorities, track technical progress, and maintain a technical baseline that can be flowed down to the team members

Derive system requirements from customer-furnished information such as reference scenarios and develop technical performance metrics for system architectures that support engagement of emerging complex threats.

Work with a diverse set of team members across multiple companies to define and deliver an integrated product.

Uses experience and problem-solving skills to develop and improve processes.

Partition customer vision into an executable roadmap/plan, ensure roadmap/plan is flowed down to product owners, collaborate with teams to define subsequent work products, and that they meet requirements/expectations.

Establish connection interface with the customer, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders such as contracts/subcontracts, finance and purchasing.

Participate in proposal development. Proposal preparation may include assisting with plans and specifications.

Experience with missile/kinetic-kill systems, and small UAS systems is preferred.

You’re required to have thisRequired:

Candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and ten (10) years of relevant professional experience (or equivalent additional experience).

Candidate must have experience with/understanding of DoD contracting and acquisition processes.

In addition, experience with: 1) missile/kinetic-kill systems and/or implementation 2) Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) engineering, operation, or design, and/or modeling and simulation of air and ground systems, would be strong discriminators.

Candidate must have an active security clearance, but exceptional candidates with the ability to successfully undergo government screening to obtain the appropriate level of clearance will also be considered.

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing is essential.

Must be proficient in use Microsoft business tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Candidate should: 1) be extremely organized with strong multi-tasking and time-management skills, 2) have experience as part of a cohesive team and be able to deliver the highest quality service, 3) be able to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.

Desired:

Relevant certifications including Architecture certification as well as Lead Systems Engineer certification.

Experience with MBSE as well as relevant tools including CAMEO and/or Rhapsody as well as experience in radar system open architectures.

Must have experience with SysML and UML.

Experience building and tracking an integrated master schedule (IMS) using Microsoft Project.

Experience working with US Army Aviation Missile and Technology Consortium (AMTC) or other US Army acquisition organizations.
