Position OverviewNavistar is seeking a Lead Controls/Manufacturing Test Engineer to join our team at our Powertrain Manufacturing Facility in Huntsville, AL!The Lead Controls/Manufacturing Test Engineer will be an integral part of the planning, development, and implementation of test equipment and processes to support the launch of a new powertrain platform.Responsibilities
Support Advanced Manufacturing Engineering in assembly layouts, equipment purchase, qualification, and installation
Act and represent Navistar in a global production team
Be the voice of production to product development
Perform research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, test sequence, test methods and production equipment investments
Standardizes manufacturing processes by benchmarking other manufacturing facilities
Coordinate pre-series build verifications and production launch of the new product including establishing goals, training team member, and evaluate and act on results
Assist in the accomplishment of plant quality objectives
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
At least 5 years of product manufacturing experience
OR
Master’s degree
At least 3 years of product manufacturing experience
OR
At least 7 years of product manufacturing experience
Additional Requirements
Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Experience with Robotic Assembly systems
Ability, and willingness to lead and guide other professionals or colleagues
Ability, and willingness to learn from others
